My son Austin just turnedtwelve this pastmonday july, 5th and it's a real shame that his biological father has never sent him a Birthday card, Christmas gift, or Child Support, Not even a simple phone call. Austin's biological father has not seen him since he was nine months old.I wish I could fix this for my son. I know he thinks about why his real father does not want nothing to do with him. It makes a child think there's something wrong with themselves. Why can't dead beat dad's realize whataffect there non-existence has on a child. Just a simple letter or phone call would make Austin feel special and like his boilogical father knows he exist. What's even worse is that the only contact we have received by his biological father was to request permission for me to let him give up his parental rights as a father to Austin. There is currently a Court Order for Child Support in the State of Flortida and heis currently on probation with the State of Florida. The State of Florida can not collect a whoppingcourt ordered$29.00 a week. He has been on probation with the State of Florida for over two years now and I had to be the one to inform the State of Florida Child Enforcement Office that he was currently on probation. I have made several pnone calls and attempts to get this Child Support collected for Austin, but to no prevail,my son Austin still recieves no child support. Something is definetly wrong with this picture. The State should be able to enforce child support from someone that is currently in the system of the State of Florida. We as a society need to try to change the way child support is governed. Our children deserve better than this! Please tell me if you have similar problems or concerns.
