subject: New Orleans Saints Tickets - 8-0 Saints Consider Upcoming Games [print this page]

The New Orleans Saints are absolutely on fire, and it seems like nothing can stop Drew Brees and Co. on the football field. The Saints are currently one of two undefeated teams in the NFL (the other being the Indianapolis Colts) after Week 9 of the regular season, and it's up to the team's next several games to determine whether or not New Orleans will be able to post a 16-0 perfect season this year.

Sean Payton's Saints have steamrolled over the toughest of competitors already this season, knocking out the Philadelphia Eagles (Week 2), New York Jets (Week 4), New York Giants (Week 6), Miami Dolphins (Week 7) and Atlanta Falcons (Week 8) while continuing to post huge numbers, and it's not just Drew Brees who has taken the Saints to the next level.

Instead of Drew Brees selling all the New Orleans Saints tickets this year, the collective crew of talent in New Orleans has combined to post incredible numbers, truly making New Orleans' perfect season so far a group effort. The Saints' balanced offense and defense is part of the team's weapon for success, and the Saints more than proved it in their Week 9 game against the Carolina Panthers, when cornerbacks Tracy Porter and Malcolm Jenkins helped stop Carolina's Jake Delhomme and Steve Smith, with New Orleans' defense proving to be no match for the Panthers.

Now that the Saints are 8-0, football fans are drooling over the prospect of an undefeated season. With teams like the New England Patriots and Dallas Cowboys coming up on the schedule, however, it's going to be a fight to the finish for New Orleans - especially with the upcoming NFC matchup against Dallas. The Cowboys are 6-2 going into Week 10 of the regular season, but their record perhaps doesn't reflect how good this Dallas team really is.

Aside from the drama between Roy Williams and Tony Romo, there's another developing story in Dallas: Miles Austin. The wide receiver was plugged into the Cowboys' starting roster after the team started off the season 2-2, and he has immensely helped this Dallas offense get off the ground. In his four starts this year, Austin has had 22 catches for 571 yards and six touchdowns, easily becoming Tony Romo's go-to guy on the field.

The Cowboys have taken over the top slot of the NFC East, beating out the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants to do so after Week 9. The real test of this team's strength will be Dec. 19 when the Cowboys square off against the New Orleans Saints at the Louisiana Superdome, and anything could happen when these NFC rivals butt heads on the football field. The Week 15 Saints-Cowboys game will be the only broadcasted football game on Sat., Dec. 19, and tickets to the big game are still available online.

In the meantime, the black-and-gold New Orleans Saints continue dominating their competitors week after week, chewing up A-league defenses and holding every offense in their path. The Saints have their work cut out for them in the second half of the season, facing several winning teams along the way, but do they have what it takes to be the first team since the '07 Patriots to post an undefeated record at the end of the regular season? It's all to come as football season traipses on, and there's plenty of time left this year for some high-flying excitement at the Superdome.
