subject: The Good, The Bad And The Orange! [print this page]

No matter who you are, where you come from or what you do, going for that orange-peel look is NOT a good effect and should be avoided at all costs! Build a gradual, natural looking tan but be careful how far you gothere are certain stars tans you wouldnt want to resemble!

Donatella Versace-As tangerine A-listers go, Donatella Versace is certainly the finest. As she swaggers along every white beach in sight, this exhibitionist not only shows off her carrot coloured skin tone but her fake, drooping assets too! Whether shes oblivious to the criticism she receives in every publication printed or frankly just doesnt care, good on her for doing her own thing, whether that be aspiring to look like one of her own lambs leather jackets or just having fun in the sun.

George Hamilton-After his exploits in the jungle, we all love George Hamilton! However, his perma-tan is not a good look and only adds to his ageing looks and tiresome furrowed skin. A skin peel would do George the world of good, although I don't know whether the chemicals would be strong enough to burn through his deep-set, thick hide. Never mind George, your copper coloured crusting only adds to your fun, flamboyant personality which weve all grown to love.

Valentino-Fashion icon to the stars, Valentino, has inspired looks worldwide and despite his age, is carrying on with his growing global success. His own look however is not one to imitate! Often referred to as an Oompa Loompa due to his exceptionally bright orange skin tone, whether its faux tan or that from a sunbed, its really not a good look! Making a spectacle of himself when walking the red carpet, the stars that follow in his shadow dont seem to mind, as they saunter along dripping in his designer robes.

Katie Price aka Jordan-This sunbed inspired fake bake queen could give any tango-ed celebrity a run for their money. Whether its bronzer from a bottle or that from an injection, its fair to say, shes been every shade of bronze. If only Katie exploited her talentless skin tone to some major retailers she could add to her fortunes, B&Q could offer their own 'Jordan' shade card showing each unusual shade of brown which can be achieved. The thing to remember for Katie is, she wont look young forever and that Botox she loves so very much, is not everlasting and cant decrease the depth that her skin is rising to.

So if youre planning on booking a sun soaked holiday this year, dont forget your sun tan lotion, whether its beach bumming

holidays in the Costa Brava
, sun scorching holidays in the sensational Maldives or family fun trips to Disneyland Florida. You dont want to end up looking like these brass-based A-listers so look after your skin and come home with the shimmering bronzed beauty look!
