There are many useful tools can be purchased in almost any application.
This is a very simple set, but if you feel after using it for some time do a better involvement

This item arrived very quickly even with it being the free super saver shipping (about 9 days after the day I placed the order). Very easy to use and once charged I was able to trim both my dogs overgrown nails without any fuss. They are used to having their nails ground professionally so they didn't need to be introduced to it, but this items works wonderfully. Cheaper to purchase than 1 grooming session for my dogs so it has already paid for itself. Will definitely recommend this product to others.
I purchased this to trim my dogs nails. The battery in my last dremel died and it was more cost effective to purchase the whole package for a new dremel than to buy a new battery. I've always used dremels to trim the very hard nails on my dog and he doesn't mind it at all, sometimes dozing off during the process. I recommend this model dremel if dog grooming is your goal.
We purchased this little dremel to keep our dogs' claws trimmed down and it is doing the job well. I like that it's portable and light. I don't know how it works for more heavy duty chores, but it works well for our purpose.
I bought this after my old Dremel Multi-Pro Cordless started turning itself off as I was using it. I like the Mini-Mite better for dog toenails - it has less vibration so it doesn't make my hand go numb. It also is much quieter, I can Dremel while watching TV even on the high setting - before I had to wait for a commercial. The low setting was good for starting puppies with the Dremel, and the high setting is fine for my adults. I have corgis and a BC. For really big dogs with big tough toenails, it might not have enough rpm to get the job done fast, but it's great for my dogs.
I purchased this Dremel as an alternative to nail clippers for my dog. The Dremel Minimite worked really well. It was quieter and quicker than that filer maketed specifically for dogs.
It can produce some heat while filing.
I am relieved that I can finally keep up with my dogs nails without the trauma and irritation the process had caused both of us.
I have an old Dremel MiniMite that I use on my cats claws. The only difference I can see from the pet version is the MiniMite has a rechargeable battery and a few different bits. Pet version rpm's is a little higher. The MiniMite does what I need it to do. My cat doesn't seem to mind as long as I use the slow speed. I'm not sure if it also makes a difference that I changed the sanding tube to a finer grit than the one it originally came with. I think the vibration is the issue not the noise. I decided this because I have an extremely loud vacuum cleaner and my cat will continue to nap when I am vacuuming just a few feet from her. She doesn't even flinch. I think it's what she feels, not what she hears, that disturbs her.
I use the Soft Paw nail caps on her. When they fall off, the nail underneath is long and sharp. I still have to trim the tips of the nails with the nippers then use the Dremel to file the nail down to where I need it and sand away the old glue. I have a video on YouTube that I took of my cat when I was replacing a cap. MissBiscuit823, "Kitty gets her manicure". You can see how she jerks away when I forget and put it on the high speed. She is so good when I do her nails but I can tell you that didn't happen overnight. It takes time and patience to get your pet to accept the whole nail grooming process. You can expect your pet to be resistant in the beginning.
There are lots of videos on YouTube where people and professionals give tips on how to do your pets nails. There's some very good tips but also a lot of videos where you can clearly see what the pet owner is doing wrong! I've seen people trying to use Pedipaws which is like a Dremel and they are doing it totally wrong and frightening their pet. In the end they decide the product is to blame when it's obviously not the tool that's the problem.
Also, I know several manicurists that use the Dremel to sand away callouses from the feet when doing pedicures. Don't know how they sanitize it but there's another use for the Dremel you may not have thought of.
Love this little dremel! Sometimes I use the high speed, sometimes the low speed, but my dogs have never had nails that are so short or so soft. I've used the Pedipaws, but it doesn't have enough power to get my big standard poodle's heavy black nails. This works great, hopefully I'll be able to work the quicks shorter by using it frequently. The best thing is that my dog doesn't mind having it done. A few treats and they're begging to have their nails done.
I love this tool to trim my dog's nail. The tool is quiet and fits in my hand. A lot easier to use than that other dog trimmer now being sold in all stores -- when will I learn that infomercials are a getcha. This tool is powerful and does not slow down when in use. I have used it several times and still have not needed to charge the battery. It is very portable.
