subject: Camry Gurnee News: Next Generation Patent Filings [print this page]

Already the best-selling car in the United States and not as affected by the safety recalls as some Toyota models; the new Camry may have a big effect on Toyotas near-future sales. With zero percent financing offers in March boosting Toyota sales 41 percent above March 2009 sales, the Japanese car manufacturer may be headed for an upswing.

Camry Gurnee dealers certainly look forward to more information about the new Camry model. Although it wont be revealed until later this year, or possibly 2011, the potential for the new model has auto industry tongues wagging. Since the 2010 model Camry received a freshen-up rather than a full makeover, recent images from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, spied out through some auto espionage, show the next generation Camry may, in fact, be the Toyota Aurion, an Australian cousin of the current Camry model.

The next Camry is predicted to be a 2012 model and customers may be excited about this once they understand what the Aurion encompasses. Not only is it sportier than the current Camry model, but since Toyota is already producing this particular model, albeit overseas, there would be no development or production start-up costs involved in releasing it in the United States. This should bode well for customer pricing. Camry Gurnee customers have great deals on many other Toyota models to check out in the meantime.

It also might attract new customers those who need space for a family but who dont want to look like theyre driving a family car will be pleasantly surprised by the new look of this Camry. Less conservative and sleeker, that definitely appeals to this carpool mom. Its a combination that is sometimes tough to find on a budget, but Toyota does have a history of keeping family models affordable.

We also will hope that the quality and dependability which made the current Camry as best-seller will reappear in the next generation, along with the efficiency that families depend on when purchasing a new car. Dealers of used cars in Gurnee will look forward to continued popularity in the Camry model. Safety issues also are a great concern for a family vehicle and Camry has a history of high ratings in that area. Toyota also has pledged to address and fix any and all safety issues stemming from recent recalls. We assume that will extend to future Camrys, as well as other Toyota models.

Since the Aurion, the apparent twin of the next Camry, has been sold in Australia, this should mean the kinks have been worked out and customer feedback has been used to make any adaptations that would further improve the model for sale in the United States.

Like any future model rumored to be this or that, it will be a waiting game to find out exactly what the next generation Camry consists of and when, precisely, it will appear in a showroom near you or me. Shoppers of used cars in Gurnee will just have to be patient.
