It was only about a week ago now that my article marketing mentor Chris Hopkins discovered that there was a fundamental part of my Article Marketing plan that was way off. I wasn't correctly linking into my original content, being my blog.
I was linking into my blog, that wasn't the issue, but I wasn't deep page linking. By this I mean I was linking to my blog's homepage and not that of the original article I wrote.
Now for those of us that use Article Marketing as a form of marketing your business, you will no about the Author Resource box or Signature Box that all the article directories have available.
So where I was getting it all stuffed up was I was only directing my traffic to my main page, and not to the related article. Not only is this frustrating for the reader but the search engine spiders can't find the related content either, or atleast easily.
A very small mistake, yet massive damage to my ranking potential.
So, I just thougt I would share some of this info with you, as it is critical that you backlink to your 'original' content and not just your main page of your web site. So let's make it easy for the spiders to rank us.
