Google Search Redirects Virus Removing The Latest Trojan From Your PC

I had to rush home to finish my school project. This project requires lots of research works. I was surprised to notice a big change on my browser when I went online. My homepage has changed and there are new search bars that I haven't seen before. I kept on putting it back to Google.com but it will still make me fall on the same weird homepage.

I tried to ignore it at first, thinking that everything is normal; however, whenever I make a search, I would get results that do not really have the information I am looking for. I was persistently brought to sites that contain affiliate links. Every time I try to get out of them, ads would pop out and instead of results, I got a terrible headache. I let my antivirus run for a few times but it wasn't able to do anything.

I immediately called on my brother, hoping that he can help me out with this problem. He is a computer geek and I am quite sure that he can do something. He told me that my computer was infected with the Google Search Redirects Virus and that my browser was hijacked.

The first thing he did is that he immediately disconnected my computer from the internet. He told me that he did that in order to cut the communication between the virus and its servers. After that, he searched for some hidden files and deleted them. He also did some editing on my Windows registry. He also downloaded an anti-spyware and anti-malware program from the internet, which cleaned my system completely and brought back my browsing to normal.

He told me that what got into my system is a Trojan and none of the antivirus around can remove it. It can only be removed by a good spyware and malware remover.
