So the wig has a very long history. Today people wear it for many reasons. The first may because of hair loss, especially some medical cause. Some people wear wigs to cover up baldness. And others do it just for their fashion purposes as they can have different hair style everyday.
In addition, there are four kinds of wigs classified by materials: natural human hair, synthetic hair, animal hair and a combination of all three. Each one has its advantages and disadvantages. Human hair wigs are superior for realism, but they are very expensive. Compared to the human hair wigs, animal hair wigs are cheaper and more people can afford it. If you can not distinguish those kinds of wigs, you can burn them. Synthetic hair will burn very quickly and will leave behind tiny hard beads that you can feel with your fingers. Synthetic hair wigs look as natural human hair but they are hard to color or curl with an iron.
