A change in daily routine or diet, skipping meals ng irregularly will not help so try to follow the simple rules of adding small amounts of fiber to your diet and avoiding stimulants like caffeine.

Stress

Traditionally, irritable bowel has been associated with a variety of health concerns, including excess stress, depression, hormonal alterations and increased food sensitivities. Many sufferers of Fibromyalgia also find that they can suffer from the Irritable Bowel Syndrome which is worsened by periods of physical or emotional stress.

What you don't want to do is get stressed because you have an irritable bowel, and thereby create a the symptoms to become worse. By getting stressed, you tensed your bowel, and bring on more pain. Persons with an irritable bowel have an intestinal system that overreacts to food, stress, and hormonal changes. Walk, exercise, and meditate. Look for ways to alleviate stress

Constipation

Constipation may involve pain during the passage of a bowel movement, inability to pass a bowel movement after straining or pushing for more than 10 minutes, or no bowel movements after more than 3 days. Constipation is an acute or chronic condition in which bowel movements occur less often than usual or consist of hard, dry stools that are painful or difficult to pass. There's diarrhea and abdominal pain or constipation and bloating.

Peppermint oil is a diverse essential oil and should be in everyone's medicine cabinet or first aid kit as it is a great source of relief for IBS when taken in a capsule form.
