Car Washing Tips

Planning to wash your own car? Maintain a car can be very expensive. This is why many car owners would normally wash their own car to save more compared to going to a car wash, particularly to those mechanized car washes. However, the only problem of washing one's own car is "how to do it properly?"

Car washing is not just about washing and hosing down your car. Its all about technique while following the correct car care tips to assure that your car can still maintain its fine paint job. So what are the necessary car care tips for washing your own car?

Tips in washing your car

Ready all car wash tools

Before you actually go to the washing part, its important to ready all the things which you'll use in washing your car. Common tools used for car washing include: 2 buckets of water (mix 1 bucket with your cleaning agent), sponge, drying towels or a chamois leather, cleaning agents, wax, and a pressure washer hose or an ordinary hose.

Put your car in a shaded area

One important part of car washing, which is normally disregarded by inexperienced car owners, is to put your car in a shaded area. This is important to avoid the likelihood of water spotting, which is caused by water droplets drying too fast on your car.

Rinse off excess dirt

By using a hose or your bucket of water, rinse off all excess dirt that can be easily removed by water. If using a pressure washer hose, make sure that you tone down its pressure. High pressure water can sometimes damage your car paint.

Section per section washing

Lather your sponge in your bucket of soapy water and gently clean your car. To do this properly, apply the section per section cleaning. Your car has 4 sections, the front of your car, the middle along with the roof, the end, and the tires. Then rinse.

Also make sure to hose down your car with your hose or a pressure washer hose to keep it wet so as to avoid water spotting.

Dry your car

After washing, dry your car with a towel. Most car owners prefer using a chamois leather. This is because towels usually leave stains on your car, particularly in your wind shield, which can be washed off with water. For more information visit to our site at http://www.hosekings.com
