Free fragrance samples are impossible to acquire these days. You know. The glass vial fragrance samples we were once able to get from brick and mortar fragrance counters. In the past they were for the asking. Remember, acquiring a free fragrance sample or two was a breeze. They would be given away by the handfuls. Right?
Today, we all have to resort to begging, sucking up, trickery and other self demeaning methods, simply to get a free fragrance sample from the big boys fragrance counters. That sucks royally.
Often one runs into this response from the fragrance counter sales clerks, "Sorry, we do not have any." In speaking with fragrance counter clerks I learned that manufacturers are simply no longer producing and supplying the sample fragrance vials. Too costly to produce, I am told. I don't buy it (pun intended). Does anyone out there know the real reason for the scarcity of FREE fragrance samples?
I do not but would love to find out. Email me with info, links, articles or whatever you could direct me to. I want to get to the core of the problem. Yes. It is a problem. Here is why.

There is no shortage of free fragrance sample vials being sold online. Where are the online retailers getting their free fragrance samples? From the manufacturers? Are they making them and selling them to us ? Who knows? How unscrupulous! I emphasize "free" because I PURCHASED a fragrance sample vial from a reputable online marketer. When I received it, the carded item boldly stated "NOT FOR RESALE". Unethical? Definitely.
Shouldn't we all be skeptical? Should we trust the contents of a free fragrance sample vial, that we paid for? Can we be certain that the content of the fragrance is authentic? Are we being duped into believing we are purchasing "X" brand when it is a knockoff or worse? Or God forbid, something that could be harmful to our skin and bodies?
In the case of a relatively new in demand fragrance. Wouldn'tsuch a scenariocast an inaccurate light on the quality of that fragrance and negatively impact sales ? Think about it!
Fragrance manufacturers should visit this issue and grab some control over the dissemination and dispensation of fragrance samples. Then again, maybe it would take a few sad occurrences thatimplicates a fragrance manufacturer that would need to be decided in a court of law.
Fragrance Manufacturers : Proactive & not reactive please.
Ihave possible remedies to this matter. Want to know? Just ask.
