Yup we know, we're bummed too, that Pretty Boy Floyd "i gotta go to prison" Mayweather isn't fighting the pound for pound best fighter in the world Manny on May 7, 2011 but a fight is a fight, right?
I can't help but think this fight is going to be no different than the Margarito fight. Sure Mosley's accomplished more and at one point was strutted as the #1 pound for pound welterweight king but, let's be real here. He's past his prime he's pushing my age in the 40s and he's got no chance on Gods green planet in beating Manny. I do believe he'll put up a few good rounds but that's about it.
So why is Mosley fighting Manny? Insert a picture of hundreds of benjamin's in here. MONEY folks. What's Mosley getting? 40 million? HECK, get me in the ring! i'll just run around the ring for a round, poop my shorts and avoid getting pummeled for 40 MILLION!! Mosley doesn't have a chance in this fight. Not even a punchers chance.
Also, Freddie Roach wanted this fight for Mannywhy? Why do you guys think? I think it's because he wants Manny to keep fighting and there isn't anyone out there for Manny to fight. Who else is out there really? Aside from Floyd, there's no one else out there! Unless we get Manny to start fighting light heavyweightshey how about a Roy Jones Jr vs Manny Pacquaio? That should draw in the big BIG money! NOT.
Anyways, this fight doesn't excite me. The only fight that'll excite me is Manny up against PBF and watching PBF's face get re-arranged by Manny.
Shane, you're no joke but you're nowhere near your prime and to go off into the sunset with a loss is actually going to be a bit heartbreaking. You never want to see one of the best go out like that.
Does ANYONE out there think Mosley's got a chance? I mean with legit reasons. Can't really bring in the size and power because I believe speed and elusiveness beats size and power 9 times out of 10. Just look at the greats who moved up and beat some of the bigger guys.
