Cooking Fish

There are many aspects of fishing that are fun and rewarding. From relaxing on a boat to the thrill of landing a big fish. But one benefit from fishing is often overlooked. Fishing is a great way to get almost free food.

Oftentimes people take fishing as nothing but a catch and release sport. But most freshwater fish are edible. The problem lies in that people do not know how to prepare fish. Most times when someone says, let's have fish for dinner,' there thinking they're going out to a restaurant. This can get very expensive and it doesn't have to be. If you enjoy fishing you can prepare your own fish dinner. It's easy and can be fun.

Most often when someone says their cooking fish for dinner you expect to see if the fish wrapped in tinfoil slathered with butter and roasted in the oven or on the grill. Another method most commonly seen thrown in the frying pan and shallow fried or pan fried once again in butter. Now that's not to say that these methods are wrong, just that there may be other methods to keep eating the fish more exciting. There is no one right way to prepare fish.

Eating fish is also an excellent source of the omega three fatty acids which is an excellent nutrient for brain stimulation. These fatty acids, specifically the omega three fatty acids, are most commonly found in freshwater fish. What better way to get these fatty acids than for free.

Always remember when fishing to have fun, relax, and most of all don't forget to eat.
