subject: Leg Waxing Over Leg Shaving Leg Waxing Or Leg Shaving Would You Rather Wax Your Legs, Or Shave... [print this page]

Leg hairs have been out of fashion since God knows when, especially for women. While hot waxing is the latest trend for removing unwanted hairs, especially on the leg area, there are still some women who prefer to stick to the conventional method of shaving their leg hair away. Razors you can use

Since razors have been popular for years already, there are many types of razors that may be employed for removing unwanted hairs. For the first timers, it is safe to say that the amount of hair on your legs is still abundant. For this case, we would advice using an electric razor. With an electric razor, you can be assured of a closer shave, and less potential cuts. If you are habitually shaving your facial hair though, it would be understandable if you think you can do the same for your legs. A thing to note though, is to always moisten and soften the skin before shaving to avoid any irritations.

Shaving creams are most commonly used to moisten the area to be shaved. Considering you are going to apply the shaving cream on such a huge area, it could get expensive, in this case, you can use other lathering agents. Just wet your legs and soap it well. once a lather has been formed, shave your legs. The soap will create a lubrication that will help the razor move along the area to be shaved, and would also trap the loose hairs that may be missed when shaving.

The practicality of shaving

The most common problem from shaving are razor burns, obtained from frequent shaving. Areas with thin skin are those which get easily burned, that is the reason why lathering agents are always important.

When it comes to practicality, shaving is one of the top choices in getting rid of unwanted hairs on your legs. With a good razor that would only cost you a few dollars, you can make use of it until it reaches the disposable time. If you do this process correctly, then you could end up with the smoothest pair of legs. The problem with shaving is that you have to remember to repeat the process almost every other day. That's one of the drawbacks of this method. The effects of shaving will not last for more than three days, so maintenance should always be on your mind.

Waxing vs. shaving

Waxing legs allows you the advantage of removing nearly all the hair in one process. A negative factor for most people is the pain experienced during the waxing procedure. Since the legs are exposed for everyone to see, once any irritation starts, it is open for all to see. It is lucky though, that redness and irritation lasts only for a few hours. If you have sensitive skin, then leg waxing irritation would cause inconveniences which would last for a day. The effects of shaving lasts for a day or two.The effects of leg waxing will last for a maximum of two months. This creates a convenience for the person, especially if one has to keep a very busy schedule. Dead skin cells are also removed during body waxing, a perk that so many enjoy. When one waxes, and pulls out the strip on the patch of skin being waxed, this strip not only pulls out the unwanted hair, but also the dead skin cells, leaving your skin hair free, and also smooth.
