E-book Marketing

Giving away e-books is the best way to transform visitors into subscribers. List building is difficult, it is not that easy to make the visitors subscribe to your newsletter. Letting them grab an e-book that answers their questions for free, is the key.

All is in the ''what's in it for me''. The visitor is seeking your site because he is looking for something specific. In Affiliate Marketing, the visitor will try to find solutions to his traffic problems. If you are in the ''skin and beauty'' business, an e-book about ''how to get rid of acne'' can be very effective.

The e-book is not only a digital book you read online, it is also a very strong marketing tool. When a visitor decide to subscribe to your list, it is mostly because the e-book had an attraction on him. He is looking for a solution and believe that the e-book will give the information searched.

To see the power of the e-book, take the acne example. You write an e-book about your experience and how you got rid of your acne problem adding which products you used. You make some kind of review about the products you tried insisting on the ones that gave you a better skin.

The reader will then wanted to try the products you wrote about. You add an affiliate link and the reader just have to click on it. He goes to your landing page. He buys and you get paid. If you are selling good products, that reader will become a buyer for life.

Having, now, his email address, you can send tips, tricks and new products (always related to the skin, of course) on a regular basis.

Writing and giving your own e-books is more powerful than giving away someone else e-book. Inside you have your own links, you have your site address where anyone can find your other products. You can add an email address, a phone number or Skype address to give your subscribers the ability to reach you.

Writing an e-book is not that much difficult, you need only one tool: OOo (OpenOffice.org). This is the free alternative of Microsoft Office Suite. Open Office has all the same feature and is very easy to use.

You can download it for free at http://openoffice.org.

There is a corrector included in it, you will be alerted each time you make a mistake. When your writing is over, save your text. Once done, at the top, in the head menu, you will see a little PDF icon. Click on it and you will save your text into a readable PDF file.

If you have Windows Vista, right click on your e-book (PDF file) and select ''add (your e-book title) to copy.rar'' and it will compress your file. The next step is to upload it, create your download page and start building your list.
