subject: Entry Doors Are First Impressions To Your Home [print this page] The other day I was walking up to my home and went to get the key out of my purse to unlock my front door. As I was getting the key out I stopped to look at my front door. I have four boys and have several different neighbor boys that are in and out of my house every single day. I am always in a hurry when I am leaving my home or coming back home to get onto the next thing so I have never stopped to pay attention to my front door and how it looks.
For some reason I did notice it this time and I about died. I always worry about my home looking clean for people to come over or even straightened up for day to day living, but have never stopped to think about the front door. It was so dirty. It had hand prints and all kinds of things all over the door. Our home was one of those track homes and was built with the standard, cheap white door.
I realized that my front door didn't give a good impression of my home and how we really live. The other thing that I noticed was there was a little space between the handle and the door. There was also space from settling around the doorway. You could actually almost see through one of the cracks into my home. I was very disappointed to see this and decided that we need to look at a different option for our front door.
As I started looking into different options for our entry door into our home I felt like I wanted something that was classy and wouldn't look so bad with a hand print on the door. I also wanted something that wouldn't settle and look like it wasn't installed correctly. I started finding that there were several different options for an entry door to my home. I also realized that it is amazing all of the different looks you could give your home with just changing that front entrance.
Some choose the standard doors and paint them different colors and then there is the option of iron entry doors that can give it class. Everyone has different preferences and they can all work, but what is important is to pay attention to the front door and how it looks for those that come to visit you and the overall value of your home.
