subject: Hp Deskjet D4360 Colour Easy To Use And Economical [print this page]

The HP Deskjet D4360 is just a printer and nothing more - no scanner, no copier, no fax. However, HP recommends the printer strongly, as it claims that the printer has the capability to print text with that of laser printer quality. HP claims the printer can print up to 30ppm (pages per minute) for black and white prints, while the color prints come in 23ppm, which is pretty swift.

The D4360 comes with connectivity options, though the good news ends there. The connectivity option is not exceptional - only USB connectivity in both the front and rear. The rear allows the printer to connect to with a Windows (2000/XP/Vista) or Mac OS (10.3.9 or better) PC, while the front USB connector allows the user to connect digital cameras and other USB devices to the printer. However, the printer does not have Pictbridge support, which means you cannot do PC-free printing.

Design

The HP Deskjet D4360 is a small, compact and cost-effective printer in terms of cost and operation. The compact design ensures that the printer occupies minimal space, measures 148x445x342mm and weighs 3.5kg.

Performance

The installation process was not easy with continuous stalls at the stage of printer detection, which had to be installed manually. There is quite a lot of software to install with the driver taking up to 205MB of space, which to be honest is a bit too much. The D4360 uses the HP 351 ink cartridges that provide good quality, while the Photo printing with the 4x6-inch took over one per minute.
