The educational system in Nigeria is going through retrogression thereby giving the private sector upper hand and more apppreciation. The state and federal government are less focus in the education sector giving more focus to other sector of the economy.i most times regret when i visit public schools,i see pupils and students setting on the floor in an unclean environment where the teachers are most times absent, what a misfortune. The school buildings are old structures, infact when i entered the school compound i was terrified what a pity.I decided to get more information, then i was told by the students that they pay school fees and development levies,i felt sad, because these pupils and students are made to pay development levies, whereas no development is carried out, what then are they paying for.the worst issue is that our greedy politicians will promise free and compulsory education when it election time, but when they get in they focus on SELF-ENRICHMENT.Why,do they keep on decieving us,we are all ONE-NIGERIA.There is alot to do in public schools in Nigeria expecially in Southern Nigeria, compulsory education need to be encouraged in primary and secondary schools,so that we be sure of building a future made up of responsible men and women who are educated and empowered. On this note may i use this medium to plead with our PRESIDENT DR G.EBELE JONOTHAN(GCFR) all 36 STATE GOVERNORS and VOLUNTERED,LET HELP TO UPLIFT THE STANDARD OF EDUCATION IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS FOR A BETTER,SECURED AND TRUSTED FUTURE.NIGERIA IS OURS LET BUILD THIS GREAT NATION TO HIGHER HEIGHT.IN GOD WE TRUST,GOD BLLESS NIGERIA,AMEN.
