"Rise above caste and religion, then only the society can develop. Future is in your hands, we are with you and we will work for you", said Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a corner meeting at Elite Chowk in Lalitpur.
"The power of youth can change the things, it's not as tough as you think," he added.
He also addressed small meetings at Lalitpur Military Base, Veer Sawarkar Ghantaghar and Duwan.
Earlier, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi reached Lalitpur in Bundelkhand for his second leg of campaigning for the road show today at 12.30. Mr Gandhi received a warm welcome from the huge number of people who were waiting for him anxiously.
Mr Gandhi met and mixed with the electorates in his usual style---talking to the people, enquiring about their problems and finding out ways for the solution of the problems in the area.
Clad in a white kurta payjama, Mr Gandhi reached Galla Mandi in Lalitpur at 12.30. The crowds who were sloganeering at the top of their pitch received him. The atmosphere rendered by slogans like "Rahul Gandhi Jindabad" and "Rahul tum sangharsh karo, hum tumhare saath hain". Mr Gandhi was welcomed by the people with rose petals and garlands.
Although, Bundelkhand is considered as a Samajwadi Party stronghold, the crowd was so much so that the cavalcade of the Congress MP was unable to move.
Later, Mr Gandhi left Lalitpur for Mehroni where he is scheduled to address a public meeting.
