An amazing journey into the world of business and technology
Paper Doctor on Call was launched three months ago as a new business venture; a twist on the services I've provided in my community for many years. Times have changed, and it was essential to dive into the world of technology.
The journey started with a need to create an internet presence; a landing page with relevant content, and contact management software to build a client list. I've learned about templates, blogs, social media, and next will be sequential auto-responders. Have I tumbled down Alice's rabbit hole in Wonderland?
I now spend hours on the internet, and my brain has expanded like a sponge. Some decisions I made have been invaluable; tell everyone about the project, and ask for help. Education is expensive and time consuming. Information is available; don't be deterred by anything. It's amazing how you'll meet the right people when you ASK.
The HANDS ON APPROACH I have adapted is leading to transformational personal growth. I am acquiring knowledge far beyond anything I learned in school. "The person I will become will be the bonus prize for undertaking the journey."
There are some folks who are closed fisted in everything they do, and then there are wonderful, sharing souls who give much more value than the dollars they charge. I have been fortunate to meet some caring, open, and giving individuals.
Lack of money is the stumbling block most new ventures have to circumnavigate. I was introduced to an Internet Specialist who designed my Web Site professionally, at a price, and with terms that could fit my budget. Since then he has ungrudgingly spent his time teaching me how to edit the site myself- beyond price!How do youevaluate such service? We launched the site, and as I tell everyone, "It's a work in progress!" One of my mottos is, "Don't wait for all the lights to be green between No Where and Now Here!" Other words of wisdom I adopt are "If and When were planted, and nothing grew." Take action, now.
