Of course, you're only going to find out if you're sending out stellar emails if you constantly test it. What do your surveys tell you? What about your website analytics? Most of all, what do your sales say about your email marketing program?

Try sending your emails on at different times of the week (including weekends) and see which days get people to open em up more. Offering freebies in your email gets you better conversion rates, too. While some say that the word "free" might get your email filtered as spam, this rarely happens. Besides, "free ebooks" or "free shipping" get you the pretty damn powerful boost you need for your product.
