Well-built and physically demanding, Warriors are the toughest class of character within World of Warcraft. They can survive huge amounts of damage thrown at them and at the same time give back large amounts of destruction. When they take the hits from enemies, no one else in the group has to. The Warrior allows others to focus on destroying their common enemy while the Warrior is absorbing all of the attacks.
A Warrior will use their battle shouts to strike fear in the hearts of their enemies as well as give confidence to their allies. These abilities will make you and your group attack for more power. With each destructive blow that a Warrior deals to its enemy, it will continue to stack rage. This rage is a source of energy they use to attack their enemies with.

Taking lots of damage and keeping threat from targets is their specialty and make then popular with raid groups. Warriors are the ideal tanking. Tanking is not the only thing Warriors are good at; they also have a great deal of strength when it comes to doing melee damage. Their huge attacks can easily render an enemy stunned and allows them the opportunity to be at the top of any damage chart.
Because of all the damage that they do, Warriors naturally wear plated armor to give them the best protection. Its obvious why they need such powerful armor. Warriors also can use any type of weapon they can get their hands on, all but wands. The weapon selection is great when you are leveling your Warrior. You will not have to worry about waiting for a specific weapon to drop, just pick up what is in front of you and use it! One of my favorite things that a Warrior can do is wield two two handed weapons. This gives them SO much power and doubles their weapon stats.
Another powerful ability is Berserker. This spell removes any stuns on you (and you will have a lot of those being the center of your enemies attention) and allows you to empower your attacks. As long as you continue to attack something, you will continue to increase your rage meter which will continue to make you more powerful.
When fighting high level bosses or battling other players in PvP, Warriors will need a lot of help with their health. They have no ability to heal themselves. Do not exceed your means when leveling by trying to take on to many enemies at once. This is an easy way to get yourself killed. Doing this will make your leveling time balloon, and the point is to level as quickly as you can.

Many times players will use a gun/bow weapon to start a fight and begin the process of tanking a target. This allows the Warrior tank to guarantee that he attacks first, thus giving him the best chance to hold the threat of his enemy. Minus the protection that a Warrior provides, there isn't much else they can give back to their party.
The best tank talent build comes under Protection. It gives a Warrior the best change to parry and dodge their enemy's attacks. Blizzard clearly made this talent tree for tanking. When it comes to DPS, there is a choice you must make. Do you wish to enhance your weapons and attack power, or do you want to focus on increasing the amount of rage that your Warrior creates? The Arms talent build is the one that is geared for your weapon and Fury is the talent build designed for your rage meter. Both are great and both can give you equal DPS numbers.
While you level your Warrior you will want to use one of the two DPS talents and not Protection. You will want to destroy things as fast as possible. Do not worry about protecting yourself, your natural abilities will do that for you. Some players like to mix and match the two melee talent trees, I would suggest just picking one and staying with that one.
Because of the power they posses, Warriors will automatically generate a lot of threat from enemies, that is why they make great tanks. Be aware of your surroundings as you level up; do not take on to many enemies or much higher level enemies then you. Your lack of healing will put you at a disadvantage. Warriors, whether they are tanks or DPS, are great characters to play and have fun with.
