"The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony." Napoleon Hill
Once you have reached a certain level in your business it is imperative that you begin "masterminding" with others. The steps needed to get you started are listed below.
Membership Selection
Find like-minded individuals with common moral and ethical standards, a varied and balanced skill set, and who are qualified to make a contribution to the group.
Mission Statement
It is imperative that you have a common vision and purpose. Define what that is and make sure that every member of the group is in agreement.
Scheduling and Format
Set a fixed and regular schedule (e.g. once per week) for your group meetings. Skype is the preferred platform for most groups. If a more interactive medium is required then an online webinar can be arranged. If all your members live in close proximity, a live meeting would be most productive.
Group Name
Have all the members collaborate on finding a great name for your group. Make it a competition where the majority of votes win.
Planning
Planning, goal setting, active participation, equal contribution and accountability will all need to be addressed at your first meeting. Communicating the expectations for each member is imperative.
Being part of a mastermind group provides you with valuable support, personal accountability and a platform to share ideas. Leveraging the expertise and experience of others will allow you to view things from a different perspective.
Participants in a successful mastermind group share their passion and inspiration. In doing so, it costs them nothing but their time and willingness to contribute to the success of others.
