Many Kratom users know that tea is an excellent way to enjoy a pleasant kratom result, without the need to gulp down the bitter leaves or powders. But unfortunately many recipes posted on the web do not maximize the effect of your valuable leaves.
So here it is, the improved recipe for making a powerful Kratom tea, which give you a better overall effect, guaranteed!
You wil need ;.
15 grams of Crushed leaves or Kratom powder (I used Borneo Red Vein from Bikhuk)
1/2 Liter of water
A freezer and/orice cubes
2 Limes or lemons
coffee Filter or Strainer
Cup or Glass
Honey, Juice or something sweet to mix your drink into something drinkable.
I used 15 grams of Kratom only, of which I made 2 glazes of very drinkable Kratom Tea.First you will need to freeze your crushed leaves.For some reason this seems to help in releasing the alkaloids later during boiling and it will speed things up.The cell structure of the leaves changes in the cold and that seems to help. I'm not a chemist, but I can tell you from my own experience that this works.
If you intend to make tea of your leaves. Do put your kratom in the freezer up front!
Once your frozen leaves are ready to prepare, mix them with lime and water. I use one cup of icecold water, icecubes and 2 limes. Mix all well and let it rest for a while. Keep this cool.
This mixture will start working on the frozen leaves and alkaloid is being extracted. This will speed up your tea making later. Now, boil or simmer your kratom, lime and water mixture.I use half liter (15oz) of water that I boil slowly for around half hour. No need to do anything during this stage, just watch that you are not boiling it totally dry.
After half hour you will have a nice red/lightbrown tea. Retain this. At this stage there is no need to boil another time, if you have done it properly and used freezer and lime most of the alkaloids will be in your tea. A second boil will give not much extra. So I skip this.
Mix and make it drinkable,The tea left, 200ml (7oz) in my case, is directly mixed with some honey or sugar to make it drinkable and of course some icecubes again to cool it down quickly.
If you follow these steps you will notice a very strong effect of Kratom after 20/30 minutes you will enjoy a very powerful kratom aroma with strong sedative effects. So don't do this before going to work/school, since it can knock you out for a couple of hours!
Just a last note, for this recipe we have used Borneo Red Vein leaves, other kratom strains like Green Malay or Sumatra Red can also be used for making tea, but will have different effect. We have used Bikhuk, since they offer the best deal for quality kratom. Do check some forum, like kratom connoisseurs for reviews about this and other kratom vendors.
