Goal Setting and Creating Objectives
Goal Setting and Creating Objectives

One of the biggest mistakes that we make on a daily basis is to not position our decisions with the backdrop of our surroundings. What inevitably happens as a result, is that we choose to repeat the same mistakes or actions over and over again. We are creatures of habit but do not let that deceive you, we control our choices. That seems like an obvious statement but how often do people practice this?

I came to this revelation in my early twenties while I was studying at school, I literally had the coffee shop experience. I had spent a majority of my life previously trying to live up to the expectations of others, whether it was family members, friends, society or whatever there always seemed to be someone reaching far into my pockets to take what was not theirs. I didn't feel helpless in fact I thought that this was what life was about, spending time to please others wasn't such a bad idea was it? What I didn't understand was the amount of energy that had been taken from me trying to live up to those expectations without giving much thought to the implications.

then I decided that I was going to take control of my own life and make my own choices in my own time. This was a turning point for me in my life. One specific way that I did this was through goal setting and objectifying my goals. Goal setting and objectives allow us to determine our future course rather than being a a part of the result we are a instigator or proponent of change.
