In a world where our kids choose how to spend our hard earned money we have to consider when something is value for money. In this article i'm talking about Licensed Character Products for the bedroom. Children are typically in the same bed from around 2 years old until 15 years old and so whatever purchase choices we make in terms of the bedding should be viewed as a long term use - 13 years in a childs life is a long time! As an example of my point; we purchased a Disney Towel for what was then our 2 year old daughter, it was bright colourful and practical - most of all she loved it. Here we are 18 years later and that towel passes occasionally through the wash cycle - now that was real value for money. If only all gifts we bought for her lasted so long! The market availability of character bedding and similar products has grown and is vast so clearly being market driven we parents have lead this market to its current position. Whats available: Bedding / Duvet Covers Backpacks Towels Fleece Blankets Rugs Curtains Lamps / Lighting Umbrellas Lunch Boxes School Bags Pretty much all of the above are available in the characters that we have all grown to know and love and they continue to evolve, so which are available: Ben 10 Transformers Betty Boop Hello Kittty Bob The Builder GoGo Fifi and The Flowertots Peppa Pig and George New Moon Twilight Guinness Elvis Presley Power Rangers Fireman Sam Me To You Princess High School Musical Hannah Montana Icarly Lazy Town And the list goes on. One of the best internet shops I have found has virtually all of these items available Character Placeor there sister shop The point Im making is theres a lot to choose from - but is it value for money? YES it is....... Consider that a Single Bed size duvet cover with a matching pillowcase can start as low as 9.99 or a towel suitable for home, school or holiday use can be as little as 7.99 or an additional blanket / throw for a bed from 6.99 then they are value for money. Most people I know would consider spending between 5 and 15 on a childs birthday or christmas present with them often buying a one-time-use toy (thats not value for money in my opinion!) better they buy something thats still fun but also practical and long lasting. Of course the choice is yours.About the Author:
