Discovering Christ's nativities and Christmas markets in Tuscany

Are you looking for a Christmas market that gives you some ideas for your presents? Here is a nice Tuscany tour to discover handmade products in Middle Ages towns!

You can rent a car to be more indipendent, and from Florence you take the road to Siena

Certaldo - Siena - Bettolle

You take the direction to Tavarnelle and then you follow the road to Certaldo.

In Certaldo it is worth to see the Christ's nativity that is in Limonaia, Certaldo Alto, from 18th December to 6 January.

Further if you go to Certaldo on Christmas eve, you can even visit the Christmas market "Tradizioni di Natale", a photographic exhibition and a charity fair in via II giugno.

Always on Firenze -Siena road, you arrive in Siena in an hour. You can park in Gramsci's square that is very close to the center.

In Siena you can visit the Christmas market in viale XXV Aprile and that in Matteotti's square, both are opened until 6th January.

In this market you can find any kind of presents in different material. From terracotta to glass, from porcelain to crystal, from straw to bamboo, from paper to latex, beside sweets, dry fruit and many other objects.

If you will be in Siena from 20th to 23th December you can also see the Christmas market "Mostra e Dimostra" in Mercato's square There will be hand made objects.

On SP11, before going back to Florence, in 20 minutes you arrive in Bettolle. In this town there are 5 Christ's nativities, one for each quarter, close to the main church. Further there are small hobby and craft markets, photographic exhibitions and charity fairs.
