If I have more than 10-12 feet from the receiver to foot, the signal starts to fall. Not only is the iPhone, what happens with my MacBook Pro as well. If I walk more than 10-12 feet away from the receiver, the signal starts to drop out. It's not just the iPhone, it happens with my MacBook Pro too. I have an airport express which works infinitely better. Only problem is the only way to use the iPhone with it is to use the Remote app to control iTunes. I'd like to have the iPhone linked with the Bluetooth directly, but the range is sub-par when I can't even go to the other side of the same room without the sound cutting out.
One of the cool things, is you can have all sounds out of your machine play through bluetooth. So you can use Plex, VLC, Quicktime etc. if you wanted to play sound from a movie wirelessly. Although I believe it only outputs stereo sound, so that is a little crippling too.
