When is the Best Time to Visit Marbella?
When is the Best Time to Visit Marbella?

Picture it you are relaxing on a beach in Marbella, soaking up the sun's rays and feeling a million miles away from home. Doesn't that sound like the perfect start to a wonderful holiday in Marbella?

The question is not whether you will opt to spend your annual holiday in Marbella, but when you will go. The weather there varies throughout the year just as it does in every other location in the world. This means it is worth thinking about what month you should visit the popular holiday destination, as the weather can be very different from one season to the next.

Of course most people will want to visit during the height of the summer. While it is reasonably nice all year, things don't really start hotting up until June, which is when the few odd days of rain each month drop right down to about one day. After that you're lucky to get much in the way of rain at all until around October.

It is safe to say therefore that if you want to have good hot weather with plenty of sunshine, the months between June and September are the best. The period coinciding with the UK school holidays from the end of July to the end of August will be the busiest of all, so think about this when you are considering dates for your holiday.

One thing worth noting is that if you don't like humid conditions you would do better to visit earlier in the summer than later. The longer it goes without rain the more likely it is that a humid and sticky feel will be noticed.

October may be rain affected, but even then you may visit during this time and not see any. Be prepared for rain if it does come though, because it really comes down in a deluge. Although with that said it can be quite refreshing if you are unlucky and you get caught out in it. It's best to take cover and sit it out if you can.

Supposing you don't like particularly hot weather and you are considering visiting Marbella in the off season months. Is this worth doing and can you still expect to have a good time?

There is no doubt you will get slightly wetter weather during the off season winter months. Even then it's only a few odd days. It will certainly be cooler but many people still enjoy a swim in the sea at this time of year.

It's worth keeping an eye on the Marbella weather from time to time if you are considering going there in the near future. This way you can ensure you pack the right items to make the most of your summer or winter holiday.
