Being a very successful forex trader, I am always taking money out of my trading account and seeking a good home for it. Being very fortunate to be spared the wrath of the global financial crisis, I am at the other end of the spectrum of financial woes confronting many people in the western countries who rode high and mighty on the many property booms leading up to the bubble bursting 2-3 years ago. Indeed my success with forex trading makes me a counter-cyclic investor in property, and whilst I am not the only bargain hunter in the property market now - cash buyers like me are still a rare breed into today's day and age.
England was one such country that was strongly buoyed by property prices until the global collapse, and only 3 years ago when I looked into investing in London property I was stunned at how outrageously expensive even the smallest flats were. That was then, and now is now - a very different situation indeed and I've been happily buying quality property at much more fair prices in my view.
One issue for me is that I live in China, and so for my growing property investment portfolio the imperative was to find managing agents in London and I am very pleased with my choice. Without mentioning who they are here, I am finding that where it was difficult to get realtors and property managers to return phone calls only a few years ago, now I am being very well serviced with great attention to even the smallest details I would otherwise not have considered. Sure, cash is King and I am not confused that the great service I now get is because of my winning smile. I guess my point is that sometimes when markets crash that there is a renewed energy put into the basics of winning and keeping those clients now in the market.
