It seems that the adverse weather conditions are not only happening in the UK, with residents seeing harsh wintry weather, snow and ice, but across the world. Israel are seeing dry and arid conditions with forest fires raging across towns, and Morocco have seen torrential rain and floods this week, resulting in at least thirty deaths in and around Rabat.
An official news agency reported that there have been twenty four people killed when a bus was swept away when the banks of a flooding river burst and flooded the roads. Four further people have died when heavy rain brought the roof of their home down east of Rabat, and a young girl was killed when she tried to cross a bridge, as the fast moving water swept her away.
In Casablanca, shops, schools and businesses have been shut after the city reported a record amount of rainfall overnight, and news footage from the area shows homes and suburbs completely immersed in the waters.
The countries flag carrier Royal Air Maroc said that flights have been disrupted form the country's main airport due to the flooding, and there are some roads and railways that are completely waterlogged, making it difficult for people to travel,
Morocco is normally know n for its African weather conditions; arid and warm all year round, and it is unusual for the country to see such a large amount of rain fall in such a short space of time.
