subject: Are You Confused While Planning For Your Guest List? Not To Worry, Here Are The Best Tips Ever [print this page]

Contrary to what you think, your grandaunt, who cant seem to stop finding fault with everything you do, MUST be invited to your grand wedding! After all, she is part of the family and a matriarch at that! Issues like these are often foremost on the minds of people getting married. Whom to call? Whom not to call? etc.

The wedding guest list is the subject of much controversy and deliberation and must be revised at least four times! Dont worry if you exceed this number, people need to go over their guest list every few days! Strange, but totally true!

Guest List Considerations

While drawing up your guest list you need to have a very clear idea of what you do and dont want. Firstly, how big is the wedding going to be? Do you want it to be a small affair, with only immediate family present? In that case, you can give the grandaunt a miss! If its a grand affair, with a guest list of 500, then, your grandaunt MUST BE INVITED!

Then begins the elimination process. Think of all the people who are so important to you that you cannot imagine getting married without them being around! This will of course include your family, cousins and relatives youre close to and your friends.

Then, consider the people who you absolutely dont want present at the ceremony! This could include ex-girlfriends and ex-boyfriends! So, get ready for some heady arguing and fireworks while debating that!

Lastly, you need to limit the number of guests according to your budget! If you are limited by the purse strings, then you need to revise your guest list several times to see who you can fit in and who you can do without. After all, its the wedding of a lifetime, it should be perfect!
