subject: About Swatch Watches [print this page]

The Swatch watch collection offers genuine quality Swiss movement combined with innovative design and a youthful twist. They offer mens and ladies watches in a variety of inspired lines.

The name Swatch flashes back to the early 80's when big colors and big styles were in fashion. A Swatch watch completed the look. The Swatch was earned double-takes with its thin, flat design and colorful plastic wristbands with matching and contrasting watch faces. With fun designs and styles in both mens and womens, the rules blurred and women who wanted a larger watch face wore the mens. Prices were so affordable that it was common to have a "Swatch collection" if you couldn't just settle on one. Today, these colorful "retro" watches are a collector's item.

Swatch Today To celebrate its 80's beginnings, Swatch has launched a new Colour Codes line that goes back to it's 80's roots, featuring a multitude of the vibrantly coloured plastic bands and matching coloured faces that are so distinguishable with the name Swatch.

The easily recognizable, colorful plastic bands with funky graphic designs on the faces have come to be identified with the Swatch, but Swatches now also come in all kinds of materials and designs, from the more conservative to cutting edge. Watch bands come in not just plastic, but also aluminum, stainless steel, rubber, textiles, and leather, all with a variety of designs and price points so that there is a Swatch for any person for any occasion.

In addition, the Lifestyle for Her and Lifestyle for Him lines continue in the expected splash of colour that Swatch is known for, along with unique and artful designs not found elsewhere.

The Full Blooded Swatch line is a collection of steel and aluminum watches in traditional gold or silver colours, but also in deep, rich colours, with chronograph and date function and water-resistance.

The White Collection, a line of black, white, and silver-coloured watches with metal, rubber, or leather watch bands.

The Manish Aurora line is a collection of men's and women's watches with exotic Indian and Bollywood-inspired designs featuring crystals, appliqus and more than a bit of bling.

The Snowpass is a cutting-edge line of Swatches that contain an RFID chip, which can be programmed with your ski pass information, eliminating the need to fumble for tickets and instead breeze past ticket checkpoints and hop onto the slopes. This Swatch is encrypted for security and can be programmed with ticket information from 700 ski slopes worldwide.
