Lexus Massachusetts dealers feature model among best resale values

Lexus has not been in the spotlight much since recalls earlier in the year, but like its sister company Toyota, has continued to produce quality vehicles and work to be sure customers are satisfied. That's why your Lexus Massachusetts dealer is pleased to see Lexus among cars honored by Kelley Blue Book for having the best resale value.

Luxury cars seem to be the way to go if you want great resale value, and Lexus had the second and fourth spots for best resale value in luxury cars with the Lexus GX and the Lexus RX. Kelley determines these models by rating how much appeal the vehicle will have after five years of ownership. Customers of Boston Lexus dealers will be able to find the model that best suits them and can be assured of a high resale value.

Other cars ranking in the best overall resale value list were the Audi A5 in the top spot followed by the Lexus GX, BMW X5, Lexus RX and the BMW X6. Interestingly, the entire top half of the list if made up of luxury vehicles and the second half of those considered non-luxury. They are: Subaru Outback, Honda CR-V, Toyota FJ Cruiser, Jeep Wrangler and Toyota Tacoma.

Lexus also led one luxury category, with the Lexus IS being ranked as the best resale value in the Near-Luxury Car category. I'm not really sure what that category entails. Does that mean it's almost a luxury car? It's not big enough to be a luxury car? Lexus is known for making luxury cars, so it's a bit confusing. Anyway, this is just one more indication of Lexus quality and one more reason for Lexus customers to check out the new models.

Not only was Lexus highly valued and rated, but Toyota had three models that topped their categories. The Toyota FJ Cruiser was the leader in Mid-Size Utility Vehicles; Toyota Tacoma was recognized as the best resale value for Mid-Size Pickup; and the Toyota Sienna was tops in the Van category.

Lexus has some amazingly luxurious features in many of its vehicles and some are even designed with the back seat passenger in mind, as they are first marketed in Asia where luxury cars often have paid drivers. Nice to know: my son will be old enough to drive soon and then I can just relax and put my feet up in the back seat. Yeah, right.

Kelley Blue Book not only provides resale values for cars, but ranks hundreds of vehicles in several areas and categories throughout the year to help consumers better understand which models are the best value overall. Lexus and Toyota models have consistently fared well and placed high in Kelley's rankings.
