subject: Whole Person Health [print this page]

Almost everyone you talk to will think that health is very important and that it can not be replaced by anything. It is a wonderful thing to be healthy. However, the majority of people do not act as though they value their health. Instead, they seem to believe that they have some right to be always healthy and when suddenly they become ill, they act as though some terrible injustice has been done to them.

Here you will be shown several ways that we can remain well, and also some of the endless ways that people tend to succumb to illness. Let us explore the possibilities that can aid us in avoiding poor health.

Instead of just studying physical health and its many parts, like many other programs and systems do, in this blog I will also be covering the connections of overall health and financial health. My purpose for doing this is that, over the years, I have found that the loss of finances is among the main causes of people loosing emotional, spiritual, and physical health. Imagine what "chronic stress" can do to you over many years.

One of the most important points that I will be going over in this blog is the "wholistic health" concept. Basically, this means that we will be learning about the integration of bodily health, mental health, and spiritual health. We will see how completely impossible it is to be totally healthy if some parts of your person are not.

As you may have noticed, I have spelled the word "wholistic" a bit differently from the more common ''holistic". Over time, my reasons for doing this will be more obvious, but now I will give you a hint: do you prefer to think of yourself as a healthy person, with your body, mind, and spirit "combined into an active whole" or would you prefer to think of yourself in "one active hole"? There are also deeper reasons other then this most apparent one.

In summery, the use of this blog will be to help us explore together the meanings of the concept of true health. I will be purposefully looking at financial health as key to having health in body, mind, and spirit, unlike most ways of looking at whole person health. All these must be combined, and, for us to be truly healthy, in balance. We wish to have and keep this amazing gift of health. By teaching you how to discover the ways you are out of balance and how to get back into balance, I will teach you the meaning of having "wholistic health".
