subject: Classic Car News: What Does Your Car Say About You Behind Your Back? [print this page]

Black cars talk about mystery, sophistication and seduction, according to an article on CarsGuide.com. Could this be why a large proportion of motorists in the UK are choosing these chic cars as their number one choice?

However, extravagance, professionalism and prestige, are all common characteristics of a silver car, which explains why silver is the most popular colour choice across the industry, reports CarsGuide.com. There are many myths surrounding the colours people choose for their vehicles, like the type of person who drives a white van, known as the notorious white van man, as well as the well-known myth that white cars get dirtier quicker when in fact its obvious that a lighter colour will show dirt up easier than a black car that can conceal the marks better.

Next time youre driving in your car (which is probably either black or silver), have a look around at the cars around you and the lack of variety of colours. Cars come in all sorts of shapes, but when it comes to expressing ourselves through colour we seem reluctant to do so.

Lets take a trip down memory lane and recap on the cars of the past. Whether you love or hate the 80s there is no doubt they produced some of the most memorable and ostentatious cars. The 70s might have seen some remarkable road-worthy vehicles, but fast forward to 1981 and theres a new kid on the block the amazing all-wheel-drive Audi Quattro. When you reminisce about the Quattro you cant help but remember the ravishing red colour, just like the stunning red Ferrari 308 GTS that propelled Tom Sellicks famous Magnum character and his equally as famous moustache from 0-60 in just over 6 seconds, reports AutoTrader.co.uk.

Are we becoming complacent in our buying behaviour? And should we start splashing colour into our lives? The 80s was a time of expression and freedom, so lets start expressing our freedom by choosing some vibrant vehicles to make our future brighter.
