An ETF stands for exchange-traded fundAn ETF stands for exchange-traded fund. These exchange-traded fund are sometimes called trackers and these products invest in the index. In the Netherlands there are a number of providers that trackers or exchange-traded fund offer the AEX index follow the company Think Capital is one of them. Recently the company launched an exchange-traded fund that follows another Dutch index, the AMX index, also called Midcap.

Since late 2009, this tracker on the Dutch stock tradeble. Think Capital is the first Dutch provider of ETFs. Earlier, trackers or exchange-traded fund already traded on the Dutch stock market, but these trackers were offered by foreign companies.

Besides the AEX Midcap tracker and tracker, the three self-developed asset exchange-traded fund introduced. These trackers consist of a mix between different government bond indexes, property indexes and stock indexes.

The fact that a Dutch company now offers exchange-traded fund shows that markets outside the United States is also growing interest in exchange-traded fund. So investors will increasingly recognize the benefits of index investing and thereby increasing choice for investing in passive index. Previously gave investors prefer to invest in shares that they themselves could determine the risk, but investors now want is to profit from the security of trackers. This is a smart choice as an index of almost 80% of cases performs better than a share in the index.
