Food service coffee grinders have an adjustable range of profile settings to grind coffee for there particular need. They also have long lasting grinding burrs that deliver a precise grind as well as an exacting particle distribution. Because these grinders are made for constant use, they are considered economical as well as dependable. These grinders come in single portion that holds 6 pounds of coffee in its hopper, a two portion hopper unit that holds 5.5 pounds on each side while a three hopper that holds 5.5 pounds on each side. Another version has dual portions and two removable hoppers or a three portion grinder with two removable hoppers. These are great features as you can have regular coffee beans in one hopper and decaf coffee beans in another hopper. Extra busy, use two hoppers for regular and second for decaf or you can offer two types of regular coffee and regular and a bold coffee in each and a decaf in the third.
Retail coffee grinders you see every time you go to a grocery store or specialty store. These grinding machines are easy to operate with an on/off switch and offer multiple profile grind selections. They are designed to hold a bag while the ground coffee beans are directed down a chute. All come with at least five grind settings between percolator and espresso. These grinders have a heavy duty horsepower motor with an immediate circuit breaker for safety just like the food service grinders. They also come in black and stainless steel like the food service grinders. However, one retail coffee grinder offers a choice of red, black or stainless steel.
Both types of grinders are made for long continued use with low maintenance. They are built so the burrs on the food service or European burrs in the retail coffee grinders can be easily replaced by a qualified person.
