Ever heard the saying, 'I got up on the wrong side of the bed'? Sure, we all have. There is some validity to it though. If you start your morning off by waking up late for instance, you usually go through the day feeling like you are constantly having to 'catch-up'.

You can actually start your morning off right and go through the day feeling truly inspired, invigorated, positive, productive and more.

1) Start from the night before Write a list of important things, preferably no more than 6, to do the next day. Once you clear your mind of the challenges of the day to come, you can sleep better. If you have a good night's sleep you will wake up feeling more energized.

2) Play soothing music as you get ready for the day or write in a journal. Or play some upbeat music as you go for a brisk walk or while doing another workout routine.

3) Update your gratitude journal A gratitude journal can be updated at the end of the day with things for which you are grateful that took place during the day. It can also be updated in the morning to jot down the things you are grateful for in your life, the things you appreciate. This can set a positive tone for your day.

4) Eat a healthy breakfast The most important meal of the day. So make it a healthy one. Try to incorporate the major food groups. Fuel your body to take the days challenges and stresses head on.

Above all, plan to get up earlier than usual in order to incorporate the elements of your morning routine or ritual. This time is important to help you to help you get through the day. So you owe it to yourself to schedule it and stick to it.About the Author:
