subject: Is All Natural Skin Care Expensive? Not Necessarily [print this page]

A large number of consumers presume that all natural skin care costs a fortune. Without a doubt some natural skin care products are quite overpriced, nevertheless a majority of these seem to be the well known brands. Despite the fact that they set you back much more when compared with the inexpensive items, this does not essentially indicate they are more beneficial.

The well known brands of skin care do tend to cost more. You are paying for the name rather than for the ingredients. In addition to this you are forking out for their TV advertising and also the expensive bottles and jars.

We are happy to hand over our cash if we think a product will improve our appearance. Not that there's anything wrong with wanting to improve our appearance, it's perfectly natural. However we do NOT have to pay a fortune for quality all natural skincare products. However we do NOT have to pay a fortune for quality, there is hardly any difference in the quality or ingredients between cheaper or more expensive brands.

Read the label! Yes you really need to do this. This is to ensure the products really are natural and that there are no artificial ingredients in the mix. Frequently the natural ingredients are only a small part of the total mix.

Certain natural ingredients simply can't be absorbed by the skin. For instance collagen and elastin are found in many natural anti aging products but are quite useless. So save your hard earned cash if you see a product based on collagen. An effective product is one that will stimulate collagen production within the skin.

As you can see, some research is necessary before spending any money. Don't be fooled by the glossy celebrity ads that claim to use these expensive products, it's probably all spin. Even worse, most clebrity advertising has been airbrushed to make them look much more glamorous than they actually are.

Of course you can make your own skin care. This is to ensure the products really are natural and that there are no added artificial ingredients. But it's a messy, time consuming task and the end results do not have a long shelf life. A better idea is to look for low cost all natural skin care products which do the same job. However you won't find them in a glossy magazine!
