Do you really want your ex back?

I am so tired of viewing all the sappy and more times to none unrealistic advice on how to get your ex back. This does not mean that you are perfect and did nothing wrong but YOU did not end the relationship, your significant other did and this needs to be realized. You should not engage in behavior unbecoming of which you are. You have to be an adult while going on with your life. You might even find that you do not want your ex back, especially if your ex was only utilizing a breakup to gain your attention.

Focus on the reason the relationship ended while being honest with yourself

I am by no means suggesting that you automatically gain a chip on your shoulder. I am however suggesting that you need to focus on the true reason the relationship ended. Yes, you could have very well pissed off your ex with your antics or your opinions but as compared to sitting down as two loving people and working things out, you were dumped. You need to keep this in mind when you are contemplating getting your ex back. Do you really want someone who is going to run at the first sign of trouble? I believe that when two people truly love each other, they will converse and talk through things, they will not end relationships merely because they do not want to deal with the situation.

True love is not about running from those we love

When people run from relationships, this proves underlying issues while showing the commitment level of people. True love is unconditional while accepting the imperfections of your significant other. If every spouse or significant other ended relationships every time their loved one pissed them off, divorce lawyers would be running our country from all the money they make off this situation.

Do not always blame yourself for the breakup. Realize that by your ex leaving, they more than likely did you a favor. You want someone who is going to be around for the long-term as compared to someone who is trying to manipulate you by dumping you while forcing you to figure out how to get your ex back.
