If an individual ever asks you to sign up for their free MLM business, try to refrain from laughing when you turn them down. The fact of the matter is, because of its very nature, there will never be a free MLM business. Look, MLM can't ever be free, since it's a business. Every business must sell things, or they will eventually go out of business. Anyone who says otherwise is either engaged in a lie or they are terribly misinformed. In either case, they don't seem like a good choice to get into a business venture with. In the past, multi-level marketing had an emphasis on stocking up on extra products and selling it to friends and family members for a profit, in addition to building a downline organization spanning several levels. These days, few members bother with selling products to others. They make the minimum monthly purchase of products or services for their own use, and they concentrate on referring other members who do the same thing. Here's the basic concept of how the MLM downline works. You refer other people to your team. They commit to the same monthly minimum purchase that you committed to when you joined. You will earn money each time they make a purchase. Your referrals comprise your first level. When those members refer their own members, they are placed on their first level, and on your second level. You will earn income from their purchases, even though you did not refer them. In fact, you'll earn on your entire downline, that could extend five to ten levels down (or more), depending on the pay plan of the program that you joined. In time, & with effort, you may grow your downline into dozens of members. Some people have organizations with hundreds of people. They could elect to quit actively referring anybody ever again, and yet their incomes would keep growing every month. The reason this is possible is because of the fact that every downline member spends money each and every month. If there were no money involved, there would be no income generation possibility. It would merely be a list of people, with meaningless data, like when they joined and who invited them. It would be futile and purposeless. There would not even be any of the excellent products for people to enjoy and use, since no one would be buying anything. So now you must appreciate why there is no such thing as a free MLM business. Yet, when you consider the paltry amount of money it costs to create your own business just by purchasing something you value anyway, you realize what a remarkable value it is.
