subject: Do I Need A New Workout Routine? [print this page] Do I Need A New Workout Routine? Do I Need A New Workout Routine?
Do I need a new workout routine? That is a great question. My answer is, YES! Did you know that you should change your workout routine every six to eight weeks to avoid any type of plateau's?
Below are just some fo the benefits to changing up your workout routine.
1. A new routine eliminates body plateau's. Many times, we work out and exercise like crazy, and we don't see any changes in our body. This is what is referred to as a 'plateau'. Your muscles get used to what ever exercise you are doing, so, by changing up our routine it tells our muscles that we are wanting to develop them in a different way.
2. A different workout with new exercises eliminates boredom. It's really easy to get bored with doing the same old thing all the time, and that includes exercise. So, by changing up your workout, you can find new fun in doing the exercises. This may even increase the intensity in which you do your routine, rather than just going through the motions.
3. A new exercise can create excitement and new found enthusiasm. When you get that new spark and excitement about doing something new, you are in more joy, and you have more fun! Therefore, you are more apt to stick with it.
4. Learning new exercises grows new motor neurons. By learning to do something new, we actually grow new motor neurons that help with our coordination, memory, and brain function.
5. A new workout routine creates new commitment. When we change up our routine, we re-commit to ourselves, our exercise program, and to our health.
Either way, it's always worth it to re-evaluate our workouts, and continue on a journey of health. For more information on workout routines, go to http://www.coreworkoutroutines.com
