Hope life is going great for you guys! Kevin here with another food-for-thought that will hopefully give you the marketing success you need.
When you write you advertisements, what do you have in mind? Obviously, you want to tell your target audience about your product. You want to extol its virtues and what it's going to do for them.
Now, here's the question: Is it giving you the conversion that you need to move your business to the next level? If how you introduced your product can be summed up in the paragraph above, then I'm pretty sure your answer to my question would be: "Well, I'm doing alright."
Thing is, I'm freakin' certain that you want to do more than "alright." I'm right on target, aren't I? You want to be able to grow your business so you won't have to worry about your retirement. You want to have money so you can send your kids to good schools. You want to have a fat bank account so you can take your wife for a second, third, fourth, hell, even a 100th honeymoon!
But here's the deal. That mediocre marketing content ain't gonna make that happen! You're just going to plod along and wonder why Frank Kern and Yanik Silver made it and you're still here wondering why you still worry about making the next mortgage payment. What did those who succeed do that you haven't done yet?
Aside from the fact that they put their heart and soul into their venture, and got to really know themselves in the process (which I'm willing to bet you also have done), they communicated on a much more personal level with their customers. How do you talk with each one of the millions of potential customers you have online? Doing this one-on-one is next to impossible. So, how do you do it?
Put yourself in that one person's shoes. Of course, that person has got to be representative of your target audience. Start with a demographicage, marital status, gender. Then look at his educational background, income, family life. Then you can dig deeper: Recognize what his problems are, what his aspirations are, what he wants for himself.
When you have this information down pat, you can create ad copy that appeals right to the center of their very being. They won't be able to resist you.
If you want your product to sell, you've got to make your selling downright personal.
