subject: Relationship Advice - A Few Tips That You Can Apply To Your Situation [print this page]

Do you ever feel like relationship advice leaves you with more questions than answers? Do you wish you could get a few tips that you can actually remember and apply to your situation? Have ever wondered how to catch the eye of that man who makes makes your heart skip a beat every time your eyes meet?

Many times we find ourselves wondering how we can get that special person's attention without embarrassing ourselves. Maybe he's someone you see every morning at the gym, or maybe he's that trusty guy friend that you would love to pursue a relationship with. Whatever the case, here are a few tips to get noticed (in a good way) and hopefully get that date you've been dreaming of!

1. Be in his line of sight. You may not realize it, but the term "out of sight, out of mind" is some of the best relationship advice you will ever hear. If he can see you, chances are he is thinking about you. If he is thinking about you, he'll be more likely to date you.

You don't want to crowd him and smother him. If you are at a party, make sure he can see you, but you don't have to run over to him and have a conversation. Let him see you having fun without him and chances are he will make it a point to be around you.

2. Dress like a woman (not a girl). This may seem like a no brainer, but it's always good to be reminded. Men love it when women play up their feminine side because it makes them feel even more masculine.

You don't have to be over the top and wear lace and act like you're too frail to do anything, but you definitely want to refrain from dressing and acting like a teenager. Remind yourself that you "love being a woman", and he will love the idea of pursuing a relationship with you.

3. Invite him out with your friends. If you really want to show him that you are interested in seeing more of him, invite him to hang out with your friends. Make sure that you have a good mix of guys and girls so he won't feel like awkward.

- If you invite him to hang with you and 12 of your closest girl friends, he will feel like he's in the hot seat and feel pressure.

- If you invite him to hang with only your guy friends, he will wonder why you aren't just dating one of them.

Pick an activity that everyone can have fun with like bowling or mini golf and he will instantly relax and start to picture a relationship with you. Make sure your friends don't make the outing awkward by asking him a ton of questions.

Keep in mind that this isn't technically a date, so questions about his past relationships and his intentions with you are off limits for now.

4. Don't wait around for him. This is the relationship advice that no one wants to tell you. If the guy you are waiting for seems to be procrastinating and just won't ask you out, go on a date with someone else.

Have you ever noticed how confident you feel and act when you are dating someone? The more confident you act, the more attractive you will be to a guy. By going out with another guy, you will exude this confidence and your crush will be able to tell that something is different and even more attractive about you.

Most men cannot stand the thought of being beat out by another guy, so this should make him stop dragging his feet. And who knows, you may even hit it off with your "temporary date" and wonder why you ever had a crush on that other guy.

Hopefully you feel as if you have some solid relationship advice to help you demystify love, romance and relationships. Remember that you can't force love and chemistry. Be patient, and it will happen when the time is right.
