subject: Earn Money The Youtube Way [print this page]

There is no doubt that few websites in the short history of the Internet have had such a large following and have made such an impact on the culture as YouTube. Sure, back in the beginning AOL was huge, as was Lycos, and some of the other big dogs in the industry had their days in the sun as well, but YouTube is so special because it can be so many things for so many people.

It can be pure entertainment for some, research material for others, a public service at times, and for more and more fledgling business types it has become a way to earn money through effective marketing with videos on YouTube.

Yes, many people just go on YouTube to watch old sports clips of some old forgotten legend just to bring them back to their childhood, or just want to watch unfortunate people slipping and falling in mud, but others have more serious intentions with their YouTube experience. These people want to earn money by getting others to watch their video and buy their product or service.

From a purely economical level it is idiotic not to use a free service like YouTube to reach as many people as you can. Why waste money for television advertising if you can post a video for free that is not only reaching the globe, but can run for as long as ten minutes instead of rushing through a thirty second spot to get your message across.

Many entrepreneurs like the freedom that YouTube offers them to promote their ideas, saturate the market as much as they can stand to, and even respond directly to their customers when they post comments or suggestions. This power to personally reach people is impossible through radio or television, the yellow pages, or a billboard.

While these ancient tools of the advertising industry still have some use, being able to answer a question about the product directly from the customer is an incredible innovation to the industry and will directly earn money for the seller by reducing the time between question and sale.

The transactions can take place within mere minutes versus a week or longer the old way. If you are serious about getting a business out there and seen by large numbers of people, then use YouTube to your advantage with free posting of your videos and touching the world all at the same time.
