Self confidence is about the way we perceive ourselves in our minds. It is also about the belief in our abilities and the positive impression we hold about ourselves.

We all suffer from low self confidence from time to time. Some people, due to the way they were brought up always have a low level of confidence and self esteem. Often needing self confidence help to get them going again.

Here are a few tips you can use to build your self confidence.

The best way to build your self confidence is to start by changing the way you perceive yourself. Start by writing a list of all of the good qualities you have, really think about this, we all have quite a few when we really think about it. Dont censor stuff out either, if it feels like a positive trait to you write it down. Even if you feel it is not fully true for you yet, still write it down.

Then read this list every day, read it until you really believe and feel all the things it says!

Make sure you add new qualities to it whenever they come into your mind. Starting to believe in yourself will make you feel so different and your self confidence will grow.

Remember self confidence is all about the way you think about yourself in your head.

Positive self-talk is another a great way to build self confidence. Keeping your inner voice positive and eliminating self doubt is important in building confidence. We all have an inner voice that if left unchecked will go on and on, making us believe we cannot do things etc. Shut that voice up. Imagine turning the volume of that voice down, while at the same time turning the positive voice up. Get into the habit of mentoring yourself. Be supportive to yourself, forgiving and kind. We grow in an accepted environment so create that inside your head.

Once you have the voice in your head more positive your self confidence help will be coming from you. It is a self fulfilling cycle. The more confident you feel, the more confident you act. That gets you noticed and then you feel more accepted which helps your perception of yourself.

Try to avoid people who diminish your self confidence with their negative comments and opinions. When you are building your self confidence, you do not need anyone hindering your progress. Believe me there are plenty of negative people around who need self confidence help but are too sacred to get it. They are hovering around waiting to bring you down because they feel miserable about themselves. Politely push them away, you dont need to go there again.

It is important to remember that learning how to build self confidence is also about eliminating your bad habits and replacing them with positive ones. Think of your bad habits that make you feel low, them allow yourself to think of alternative habits that will make you feel good. Being aware of bad habits gives you the opportunity to make some changes, you have a choice, exercise it!

Also be aware you are not over criticizing yourself to much, we all make mistakes. Try to only focus on the positive aspects of your life. I dont mean stick your head in the sand, just look at life in a more optimistic light, and give yourself praise for the things you have done well.

Finally, we can all change the way we feel about ourselves on a regular basis if we just take the time to monitor the things we need to learn, then find that knowledge and put it into action! Study other confident people, then copy the way they do things, it is a very successful way of achieving results!
