Bingo Games Rule 1: Card Layout
In a 75-ball Bingo card, you will get 5 x 5 grids. In each square you will find a number except the one present at the middle of the card. This centre square' is known as "free space". As a player you can automatically mark this free space' as complete.
Bingo Games Rule 2: Columns
In this 5 x 5 format, letters comprising the word B-I-N-G-O are written at the top of every column.
a) The squares present in the very first column, on the top of which letter B' is marked, can consist of any number, right from 1 to 15.
b) The squares present in the second column, on the top of which letter I' is marked, can consist of any number, right from 16 to 30.
c) The squares present in the third column, on the top of which letter N' is marked, can consist of any of number, right from 31 to 45.
d) The squares present in the fourth column, on the top of which letter G' is marked, can consist of any number, right from 46 to 60.
e) The squares present in the fifth column, on the top of which letter O' is marked, can consist of any number, right from 61 to 75.
The space at the middle of this grid is left blank, which is called as free space'.
Bingo Games Rule 3: Calling
A Caller' is like the Dealer' of a casino game. Caller draws and calls numbers randomly. He/she will call columns and numbers simultaneously. If the caller calls B12 then the player has to look at his/her card and see whether he/she has the number 12 in the column B'. If that number is present in the player's card then he/she has to mark it as present.
Bingo Games Rule 4: Objective
The objective of a player should be to fill up his/her own card in accordance with the rule of the house. Generally, this means that the player has to get a certain line of numbers (in column, row, or diagonal). In some cases, filling up all the squares of the Bingo card also becomes the objective of the game.
Bingo Games Rule 5: Claim Prize
If the objective of Bingo game, mentioned in the last point, is fulfilled then the player should yell Bingo' so that the house/room can know that you have completed your card and you are yelling to claim your prize. It may also happen that two players have achieved their objective simultaneously. In such a case, both of them will share the prize.
