Several of Hollywood's celebrities have been bitten by the fragrance bug. Celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, P. Diddy, Jay Z, Beyonce, Jessica Simpson, Sarah Jessica Parker, and many more, have released fragrances under their name. It has been a very successful, as well as very popular trend for celebrities to release a fragrance. The male celebrities seem to mostly focus on releasing men's cologne and the female celebrities have mainly stuck to releasing women's perfume. Celebrities such as Justin Bieber and Khloe Kardashian are among the few to play with the line between men's cologne and women's perfume and are attempting to release unisex fragrances for both men and women to enjoy together. In addition to individual celebrities releasing fragrances under their name, married celebrities such as Victoria Beckham alongside husband, and soccer player, David Beckham, have released fragrances that they are able to advertise together. This doubles the star power for the fragrance that is being released, whether is male or female fragrance.

David and Victoria Beckham released fragrances such as Intimately Beckham, one as a men's cologne and another as women's perfume. Although the fragrance shares the same name, the scents differ from each other to pull in the different sexes. Popular women's perfumes include fragrances such as Sarah Jessica Parker's SJP NYC, Demi Moore's Helena Rubinstein All You've Ever Wanted, Uma Thurman Givenchy Ange Ou Demon Le Secret, and several more. Popular men's colognes that have been very successful are colognes such as Patrick Dempsey's 2, Fifty Cent's Power, Driven Sport by Derek Jeter and P. Diddy's Unforgivable. Other celebrities that have recently released fragrances are Fergie's new fragrance called Outspoken, Prince's cologne which he named Get Wild, Antonio Banderas has released quite a few which he named Spirit, Mediterraneo, Diavolo Hypnotic, Diavolo Donna, Diavolo and Blue Seduction.

Although mostly actors/actresses have been releasing men's colognes and women's perfumes, athletes have also participated in this trend. Athletes such as Carlos Moya released his self named cologne called Carlos Moya, Jeff Gordon released his cologne called Halston Z-14, Maria Sharapova released the perfume under her name, Maria Sharapova, and Michael Jordan took the time from his athletic career to release three men's colognes under his name: his self named Michael Jordan men's cologne, another one by the name of Jordan, and his last one by his number, 23. It has been very common for actors, actresses, athletes to come out with these fragrances for either sex. Even reality TV stars are dabbing into fragrances. Kim Kardashian, a TV reality star on Keeping up with the Kardashians, and socialite, has released a fragrance under her name called Kim Kardashian. Although Kim Kardashian is not an actress or athlete, she has still managed to release a fragrance that features her name and face. Actors, actresses, athletes, socialites and reality TV stars have all been known to release men's colognes and/or women's perfumes. It has become a part of the norm that anyone with a famous name, should at one point or another, also release a fragrance.
