subject: Is Ppc Advertising Better Than Other Traffic Methods [print this page] I think that everyone should be using pay-per click advertising if they are selling a product online. You can get almost instant results and you don't have to put in the work and have to wait for the traffic to come trickling in from other traffic generation methods.
So many people are trying to hit the lottery with some free traffic generation methods. They could go over to Google Adwords and get an account and research some keyword phrases and be on their way to a ton of targeted traffic.
I buy a lot of products about traffic generation. One of the problems is that so many of them deal with search engine optimizing a web site or blogging. The problem is that I want visitors to go strait to my sales page or my affiliates sales page.
Call me lazy, but I don't want to spend all this time building websites and blogs and having links to products on there and go through all the search engine optimizing and all the content. I want to send targeted traffic to my sales page as quickly as possible.
When it comes to article traffic, I won't use it unless I can get my hands on some really good PLR articles. All a person has to do is do some keyword research and change the article around.
There are many reasons why I don't do the keyword research and write the articles myself. One is that I may be in a niche that I know nothing about. You can say well pay someone to write them for you.
The problem with that is you have to wait for them to write the articles and you can't be sure they won't be crap and then you have to submit them to article directories and they may take awhile to get approved. I submitted a batch of three articles to ezine articles and it took them two weeks before they were approved.
I could of spent that time researching keyword phrases and getting traffic to my sales page in a matter of hours with pay-per click advertising. Both the rate and the potential for mass targeted traffic to a sales page are off the charts when it comes to pay-per click advertising.
I'm not saying that you should abandon all the other methods for getting traffic. It's good to get your traffic from a few different places, but if I had to have just one method for generating traffic, I would take PPC every day of the week.
